Overview :
Rajasthan meaning, “The Abode of The Rajas” formerly known as Rajputana, “The Country of the Rajputs”. The main attraction here is the vast “Thar Desert” and one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world “The Aravallis”, the Rajput heritage which is apparently in the forts, temples, and palaces established by the Rajput kings. Tourists come here to observe Indian heritage and royalty closely. Rajasthan is the largest Indian state by area and one of the most colorful and vibrant states in the country. With a strong blend of Culture, History, Music, Cuisine, and Lovely people falling in love with Rajasthan is easy.
Mandawa:-
Residing in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, Mandawa is very popular for Mandawa Fort. Also known as the “Open Art Gallery” the town is gorged with a paved archway and chivalric havelis and fortresses. The social and Cultural environment of the place in the bygone era still lingers in the aura. This place is the perfect getaway for the people fond of art and culture.
Bikaner:-
Is a “cultural Paradise and a Traveller’s haven” and inhibits the mindset of Thar desert. Bikaner is also famous with the name of “ The desert town of the “camel festival” as breeding of some of the best riding camels is done here. The dazzling city crow’s of old-world charms, copious have lice and despite a pleasing bygone era of Rajputana. This city is called rightly as one of the three great desert lands. Karni Mata Temple, also popularly known as the “Rat Temple” as 25,000 black rats live here. This temple is also noteworthy for its architecture that has been influenced by the Mughal Style of Construction.
Jaisalmer:-
Is known as “Golden City” because of its bounteous golden dunes and castles clad in golden honey sandstone. The Fort of Jaisalmer is so mesmerizing that it looks like a mirage from the bygone era. This town lies in the heart of the “Golden Thar Desert”. Here are many beautiful forts and Havelis rich with culture and are of great architectural importance. Few famous Palaces and Havelis in Jaisalmer are The Jaisalmer Fort, Fort Palace, Jain Temples, Patwa-Ki-Haveli, Nathmal-Ki-Haveli, Vyas Chhatri, Thar Heritage Museum, Kuldhara.
Next up comes a Gadi Sagar. This is a lake built in the 14th century to meet the need for water in this arid land. As it was considered important, hence many temples were then built here and it became a pilgrimage spot as well as a tourist destination. Bada Bagh is a “Big Garden” of royal cenotaphs of the Maharajas of Jaisalmer including Jay Singh 2. The location of the page is such that one can go and enjoy great sunsets here.
Jodhpur:-
Is also known as the “Blue City”. The fore, The temples, The haveli and palace, even houses are built in vivid shades of blue and do justice to the name given to the beautiful city. The strapping forts here represent that the prosperous city revolves around the Rathod Clan. The city can be traced back to 1459 AD. A few of the many places in Jodhpur to visit are:- Mehrangarh Fort. Standing on a pedestal like a hill that is 125m above the Jodhpur skyline is situated in the Mehrangarh Fort. Piled with history and legends this fort is one of the most “in the limelight” fort in India! Is a heavenly building that is considered to be one of the largest private homes in the whole world. At the time of construction, this palace was also called by the chitter palace as stones were drawn from the chitter hills. The architecture of this palace reflects Indo-Saracenic, Classical Revival, and Western Art Deco Style. This is the only palace built in the 20th Century.
The Famous Clock Tower Ghanta Ghar is situated in the Sadar Bazaar area of jodhpur( the busiest area of jodhpur) and was constructed by Shri Sadar Singh Ji. The Sadar Bazaar is a famous Rajasthani Textile, Clat Figurines, Mini Camels and Elephant, Marble Inlay Work, and Classic Silver Jewelry.
Udaipur:-
The city of Lakes “Udaipur” is the crown jewel of the State Rajasthan! Udaipur is in the middle of the Aravali mountain range. The city is surrounded by 4 huge lakes! Udaipur with a high rank of nature offers hand in hand with Human Efforts meat the most captivating and timeless tourist destination. A boat ride in Lake Pichola is enough to justify why Udaipur is called the crown jewel to the state of Rajasthan. The City Palace resides on the bank of Lake Pichola. Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir is a perfect stop to gain the true essence of the rich folk history and culture of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat that is evenly showcased all around the museum. Jagdish temple is a temple of god Vishnu formally known as “Jagannath Rai”( one of the 1000 names of god Vishnu) This temple is an architectural wonder in the Mewar dynasty and it reflects Indo-Aryan culture. Sahelion Ki Bari is a lush green retreat in the dry land of Rajasthan. This garden is famous for its green lawns, marble art, and fountains. This garden was built by the Maharaja Uday Singh for his Queen and the 48 maids that accompanied her in her marriage. In a nutshell, this garden was made for the royal ladies to spend some leisure time away from the palace.Crystal Palace is nested within the complex of the majestic Udaipur City Palace where you enter where enter a hallway that has the most exclusive and alluring collection of Crystal that you have ever see. This palace has the largest private collection of crystal in the world.
Pushkar:-
Known as the tirtha-raj (king of pilgrim sight) Pushkar is one of the ancient cities of India. There are many temples in Pushkar and the most famous is the Brahma Temple as it is one of the few temples of Brahma in the world. This town is also known as the “The Rose Garden of Rajasthan” because of rose flower farming in and around the city that are exported around the world. This town is considered as the most sacred pilgrim site. The Most famous Pushkar lake has 52 ghats and almost around 400 blue temples on its bank. Pilgrims come to take a dip in the holy water from all around the country. Temples such as Brahma Temple, Savitri Temple, Pap Mochini Temple, Apteshwar Temple, Old Rangji Temple are few of the many beautiful temples in Pushkar.
Jaipur:-
The Pink City of Jaipur is the capital of Royal Rajasthan and also one of the cities of the golden triangle. Jaipur is the first Indian planned city. It’s said that the city is a union of Old and New. The city is busy whereas the past of the city gives you a weide satisfaction and quiet. As pink was traditionally a colour associated with hospitality, the maharaja of Jaipur painted the whole city pink to welcome the prince of wales to the city which gave the city its name of Pick City. Few must-visit places of Jaipur are Amber Fort.resides on the top of the Aravali hills and are one of the Hill Forts of Rajasthan. This fort is one of the heritage sites declared by UNESCO. This fort is built with yellow and pink sandstones, its maze-like passages and serpentine staircases are an architectural masterpiece and of huge significance in the Indian architecture. Hawa Mahal is a massive edifice that stands tall on the intersection of the main road. The unique structure of the Hawa Mahal consists of a mesh of small windows that allows a cool breeze to flow through the window into the palace and keeps it cool during the hot summer months. The main purpose of building this mahal was to let the royal ladies see the festivities happening on the main road while being unseen from the outsiders as the costumes of the land. City Palace resides in the oldest parts of the city. Despite going through numerous changes since the time it was built, acute and detailed handiwork reflects the blend of Mughal and Rajput Culture. The Palace is divided into a series of Courtyards, Buildings, and Gardens that has become a popular tourist spot. Jantar Mantar is located beside the city palace and is the largest stone astronomical observatory. Considering its cultural and scientific importance it was considered as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Jantar Mantar is home to the world’s largest sundial and was built to study and gather information about time and space. This place lights up like a firefly in the evening at the time of light and sound show.
